We bill insurance carriers for work performed by contractors, on their behalf, and follow up until claims are paid. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address and mailing address of contractors, property owners, adjusters and carrier staff we work with.
- Claim information: property address, claim and policy numbers, carrier, work descriptions, photos, logs, invoices and payment records.
- Communications: emails, text messages and phone calls with us. Calls may be recorded and transcribed after a recording notice plays.
- Website: information you choose to submit through forms on this site.
How we use it
- To build, submit and follow up on insurance invoices and claims.
- To send updates about claim status, documents we need, appointments and payments.
- To answer your questions and keep accurate records of our work.
Text messaging
If you agree to receive text messages from Guided Billing, we use your mobile number only to send messages about the claims and work you are involved in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information sharing with subcontractors in support of our services, such as messaging and phone providers, is permitted; all other use categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to do our work:
- With the insurance carrier, adjuster and contractor on the claim the information relates to.
- With service providers who run our phone, text, email, transcription, document and hosting systems, under their own confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Security and retention
We limit access to staff who need the information, and keep records as long as needed to complete claims and meet business and legal record-keeping needs.
Your choices
You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP. To ask about, correct, or delete your information, email info@guidedbilling.com.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
